S.W. Basics

S.W. Basics is a Brooklyn based skincare brand that uses only natural and organic ingredients.
At S.W. Basics, they make their products from scratch using only whole, high-potency ingredients. For us, less isn’t just more; less is everything. They've found that if they stick with only absolutely essential ingredients and don’t add a bunch of extra stuff, they don’t need to put a hundred things into their products. Using fewer ingredients means more potent skincare. They don’t water it down with cheap synthetics or exotic fillers. It also means that their products are more likely to be safe even on the most sensitive skin. That’s why everything they sell only has 5 ingredients or less. And they still make you look amazing and smell pretty.

L'occitane: Take a whiff of citrus

I have a little weakness for L'occitane . I always have, I think it's because my Mam always bought their products and so I tend to drift to certain brands she's bought over the years. I love their products but I especially love their Verbena range.

Catrice me up baby....

Catrice is not a brand I would go for first. But recently I have purchased a few items from them and have been pleasantly surprised. As anyone who knows me would know I'm addicted to lipsticks and so in the past the only things I've bought from Catrice has been Lipstick. Its very hard to get a lipstick wrong ha-ha So recently I bought a couple of lipsticks and some bronzer.
I was pleasantly surprised. I love the lipsticks, they are bright, Long lasting and glide onto your lip like you would like any good lipstick to do. I'm well impressed.

This blush was a little to light for my liking although would be nice as a highlighter with another blush on top.

The ultra-fine, highly-pigmented powder blush with vitamin C and E spreads easily, sets fresh accents, emphasizes your cheekbones and models the contours of your face. Top marks for a perfect finish.
I'm so into Blushes its nearly as bad as my Addiction to Lipstick but not quiet ha-ha but these two blushes are great. They do the job. But I have had way better for less the price. That's not to say I don't like them. I do but eh.... there is a hell of a lot better out there.

Sun Cream and After Sun

I'm of on Holidays this week YAY! First time in a good few years. I usual tan very well but I always use Sun Cream because like all girlies I don't want wrinkles. The weather here in Ireland has also been amazing the last week or so. I did some research to see what would suit me and my skin. I wanted a foundation that would have an SPF but also that wouldn't melt of my face in the heat. I was recommended Benefit Big Easy Liquid to Powder. Also I decided to purchase the Aldi Lacura Suncare and Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm. I've been using Hawaiian Tropic Aftersun Body Butter Exotic Coconut for years.

NYX - Now in Ireland

So I'm sure at this point you all know that NYX is in Ireland. Yes it launched here this month and you would be excused if you hadn't realised this because even though its been launched here, its not in many places of yet and some of the places it says it's in, it's not. So if your planning a drive to your nearest location maybe give them a quick call first. I listed below the stocklist. I decided last week to take a drive over to Neighbourhood Pharmacy, Santry.

Happy Father's Day!

So today is Father's day here in Ireland. My family decided to celebrate it in my sister's house as she had just gotten her husband a brand new spanking BBQ so of course it had to be broken in. So my sister was doing food, my job was to look after the cake. This lands on me for most birthdays and celebrations occasions. I don't mind this at all, as I don't get to bake very much anymore work being to busy and other things getting in the way. So when I have occasion to bake I'm pretty happy.

As it's father's day that would usually mean I'd ask my dad what cake he would like, however my sister gets in first with "Elle why don't you make an Ice-cream Cake!"  EK! I make one Ice-cream cake a year. Every time I make one I realise why I only make one a year. By the time it comes around to make another I've forgotten about how much a pain in the ass they are to make ha-ha Melted Ice-Cream is so messy and sticky!

Essence Summer

Well its been to long and I've decided to get back on the blogger band waggon. I'm excited about this. Especially since its coming or should I say where in the Summer season. Of late I've been buying up a storm and I'm excited to share with you fine peeps out there what I've purchased and also what i;m thinking about said purchases.

First up Is Essence. I'm going to be honest I haven't bought much in this range before. But I've been hearing good things of late so decided to get on the band waggon. And what a great way to start is by purchasing some lip glosses and A blush. I'm addicted to blush so this is a good test run for me.

Essence was launched in Germany in 2002  and is sold in 60 Countries. Essence also does not test on animals. Its also a very affordable brand.
